Just FYI: AELE will publish its neoteric digital, peer-reviewed, and scholarly Public Safety Journal (PSJ) in the Spring 2022. This contemporary and scholarly journal focuses on public safety legal issues, public safety scientific research, and public safety evidenced-based practices. Unlike law school- or educational-associated scholarly journals that limit articles to legal and/or scientific research, the PSJ includes evidenced-based practices that public safety administrators, practitioners, and others have found to work in their respective settings (case study). This is a great opportunity to share what public safety management, personnel, training, and/or community programs and/or procedures have worked from an evidence-based perspective.
Call for papers: Please submit an original paper to the PSJ, or if you are a professor and/or public safety practitioner, offer your learners and/or colleagues an opportunity to get published. Submitted papers must be original, be unpublished, and not be submitted to other publications at the time of PSJ submission. Style and format are Bluebook for legal articles, and APA for other manuscripts.
Deadline for submission: December 31, 2021. Submissions must be in WORD and follow the appropriate style and format.
Author compensation: None.
Author rights: Authors whose articles are accepted for publication in the PSJ agree to license and to authorize the AELE to publish their work, but will retain copyright.
Peer-Review Process: Submitted manuscripts will be peer reviewed. The peer-review process is supervised by Darrell Ross, Ph.D., a well respected and widely published social science researcher. PSJ reviewers will evaluate submitted manuscripts and offer comments.
