The TSA Canine Decoy Program is looking for volunteers, we learn from Dale Gustafson. He says, “…[My wife] and I have done this – it’s VERY easy and each session is typically only 2 – 3 hours in length. Basically you either sit around and wait for the canine to detect contraband they give you or you walk in a specific area, off and on, allowing the dog to hit on the contraband.
The TSA agents are very nice people and easy to work with. Bring something to read and/or drink/eat. They validate your parking ticket for garage parking so there is no cost to you. It’s a good program for anyone, including kids in school, who need, or want, to do community service projects.
