Former police officer sued, seeking benefits under the Public Safety Employee Benefits Act (PSEBA) thirteen years after receiving his line-of-duty pension in 2000 for an injury sustained in 1993. The DuPage County Circuit Court granted summary judgment in the village’s favor, and the appellate court affirmed, holding that the officer’s claim was time-barred since his suit was filed over a decade after receiving his line-of-duty pension.
