Tara received an undergraduate degree from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, in 2002 and a law degree from The John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois, in 2006. Following law school, Tara was a supervising attorney at The John Marshall Law School Fair Housing Legal Clinic where she represented clients in the Chicago metropolitan area who were discriminatorily denied housing because of his or her race, color, national origin, sex, disability, familial status, marital status, age, source of income, and/or sexual orientation. Thereafter, Tara worked for the Board of Education of the City of Chicago for approximately six years where she primarily focused on tort defense, including personal injury and wrongful death. While at the Board, Tara gained extensive experience through hearings, arbitrations and jury and bench trials. Prior to joining Hervas, Condon, and Bersani, P.C., Tara was an Assistant Inspector General for the State of Illinois Office of Executive Inspector General for three years where she investigated complaints of fraud, misconduct, waste, and abuse on the part of State employees and others under the agency’s jurisdiction.
Tara is admitted to practice law in New York and Illinois, as well as the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois.
